On 20 December 2021, the 1st National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition concluded in Foshan City, Guangdong Province. Zhang Jinnan, Secretary of theCPC Group and Minister of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security announced the closing of the competition, and Ma Xingrui, Deputy Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Guangdong Province, delivered a concluding speech. Liu Jianwen, whose project "Functional electrolyte for high-voltage lithium-ion batteries" win the bronze prize in the new energy (including new energy vehicles) category of the National Entrepreneurship Competition, is the teacher of Hubei University. Liu Jianwen's project is directly aimed at the high voltage lithium-ion batteries in the booming new energy vehicle field. Through the self-developed borate and amide salt series of high temperature resistant electrolyte salts and high voltage resistant additives such as nitrile and its derivatives, he developed a high-end electrolyte brand for high voltage lithium-ion batteries, which greatly improves the safety performance of lithium batteries and extends the life of batteries. It is reported that the product of this venture fills the gap in the domestic high-end electrolyte market.
In this competition, the Hubei delegation won one gold medal, one silver medal and two bronze medals, while the separate team from Huazhong University of Science and Technology won six silver medals and one bronze medal, and Wuhan University won two silver medals and two bronze medals. In addition, the Hubei delegation and the delegation of Huazhong University of Science and Technology also won the "Excellent Organisation Award".
